Common Questions

As you approach 2-3 weeks post injection, your injection area should be smooth and dynamic, if it is not, we always want you to be re-evaluated by one of our providers.

  • Most likely, yes. The face is extremely vascular and bruising is always possible anytime you are injecting into this area. We recommend planning your injections at least 2 weeks prior to a big event. What can I do to minimize bruising? Avoid alcohol, Aspirin, Ibuprofen and caffeine prior to your appointment if medically advised/able to do so. We recommend Arnica Montana supplements, topical Arnica ointment and adding fresh pineapple juice to your diet.

  • Most likely, yes! The products we use are hydrophilic (water loving) so they pull water in. Interestingly HA (hyaluronic acids can hold 10x their weight in water). Swelling should only last 24-48 hours.

  • It is not recommended to exercise for 24 hours post treatment.
